Delete your Domynx account
You can delete your Domynx account at any time, even if you've already uninstalled the app. The two paths below cover both cases. Deletion is permanent.
What gets deleted
Closing your account removes the following from our servers, immediately on the in-app path and within seven days on the email path:
- Your account email and display name.
- Your password hash and every passkey registered to your account.
- Every active session and any cached bearer token tied to those sessions.
- Your portfolio domains, watchers, and saved alerts.
- Your push-notification handles and device records.
- Any preferences you set (theme, digest opt-in, ad-removal flag).
Server-side caches and the platform audit log are anonymised rather than retained against you — the rows lose their account reference instead of being kept.
What we keep, briefly
For abuse defence and to honour our deletion SLA, we keep two tiny things temporarily:
- A hashed reference of the deletion request for roughly 30 days, so a deleted-then-immediately-re-signed-up pattern flags for review.
- Server-side request logs — no PII, no account ID, just request method + path + status code — on the standard rotation window of our managed-database provider (typically 30 days).
Neither of these is retrievable as your data; both rotate out automatically.
Path A — In the app (immediate)
This is the recommended path. Account deletion in the app completes in seconds.
- Open Domynx on Android.
- Sign in if you aren't already (passkey, email + password, or magic link).
- Tap the avatar in the top right to open Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom. Under DANGER, tap Delete account.
- Type
DELETEinto the confirmation field (case-sensitive — this is the safety latch). - Confirm with your password if you have one. Tap Delete.
Your account and everything tied to it are removed before the app finishes signing you out.
Path B — By email (within 7 days)
Use this if you've already uninstalled, lost the device, or can't sign in for any reason.
- Send an email to [email protected] from the same email address you signed up with.
- Use the subject line
Delete my account. No body content is required. - We complete the request within 7 days and reply to your message to confirm. If we can't verify ownership of the address, we'll write back asking for one piece of information you'd have known from your account (e.g. the approximate sign-up date or a portfolio domain).
If the dedicated delete@ alias bounces, fall back to [email protected] with the same subject line.
What we can't delete for you
A handful of things are outside our reach — we tell you so you can finish the job:
- Your operating system's advertising identifier. Reset it any time from Settings → Privacy → Ads on Android, or the equivalent on your browser/device. Our advertising partners cannot reach into that without your involvement.
- The local copy of the app. If you still have Domynx installed, uninstalling clears any cached preferences and the device's session cookie. Deletion on our side does not remove the binary from your phone.
- Snapshots of public data you found through Domynx. Anything we surfaced from public domain-registration protocols or archives lives on those underlying sources, not on our servers.
